Shareholder Disclosure Filing Now Open

We would like to remind you that the 2025 Shareholder and Final Beneficiary Declaration (RTBF) must be submitted between April 1 and April 30, 2025.

This is a mandatory requirement for all corporations in Costa Rica and must be completed using a digital signature through the Central Bank of Costa Rica’s official system (BCCR).

According to the official statement from the Tax Administration, the Costa Rican Drug Institute, and the Central Bank:

• Corporations with ID type 3-107 (water service entities) must also file the 2024 declaration if they missed the October deadline last year.

• The 2025 filing must include the most updated shareholder and beneficiary information as of April 2025.

• In certain cases, it is possible to authorize a third party through a notarized power of attorney to complete the RTBF filing on your behalf.
